SAMSUNG- One of the big guns at MWC every year; and this year they’ve sent out an invite for a press event titled ‘Unpacked 5’. It is believed that the god phone, the Galaxy S5 colud be showcased. Having burnt its fingers with a mediocre S4, this maybe the unveiling of a new class of phones for Samsung. A 5.25-inch display with a 2K ultra-high resolution, an Exynos 6 64-bit octacore processor, water- and dust-proof, Samsung’s new ISOCELL camera sensor, all-metal body and an eye scanner. Samsung may also showcase the Galaxy Gear 2 watch with seven-day battery life and a lower price point (much needed). And also Samsung can show its Android rival OS Tizen at the MWC.
LG- LG through its G2 has shown some strength in the market and it may use MWC for creating a bit of hype and buzz. The first rumour is that the Samsung Galaxy S5 killer, the much awaited LG G3 with a 5.5-inch screen, a 2560x1440 resolution, 3GB RAM and housed with LG’s new Odin octacore ARM processor, may be shown. Also it is believed that a Google Glass kind of thing could be showcased .
HTC- HTC One was for a long time the best Android phone your money could buy, but somehow it didn’t translate to bringing the accolades that HTC deserved. Rumours now suggest that the HTC One Two (HTC,it sound too gimmicky), codenamed M8, may make it to the MWC announcement stage. It is said to feature a 5-inch 1080p full-HD display, a quadcore Snapdragon 800 processor and run Android 4.4 KitKat with the new HTC Sense 6.0 UI, but the form factor and materials used truly set it apart.
Also our home grown Micromax can do some unpredected thing at MWC ,like it did at the CES 2014.Micromax is believed to showcase it's flagship Canvas Knight a.k.a Canvas 5.
Finally i can say that MWC 2014 would be definitely something amazing as bunch of new gadgets would be shown.Stay tune to Techcaster for more updates.
