Thanks to senior XDA member kashamalaga who got hold of a Nokia X device at the MWC and initially tried to install Google services on it so as a part of it he rooted the Nokia X.
Before you proceed:
- Make sure that your phone is not low on battery.
- If Nokia X is your first Android device, you probably don't know much about rooting. Read what is rooting and its pros and cons to decide whether you want to go for it or not.
- Rooting voids your device's manufacturer warranty.Techcaster is not responsible for any damages occurring to the device
How to Root Nokia X using Framaroot:
- Download Framaroot application from xda.Transfer Framaroot's apk to the internal or external sd card of your Nokia X.
- Using any file manager, install the application on your phone. If you haven't enabled sideloading, you might be instructed to do so before you are able to install this application.
- Open Framaroot. Select Gandalf Exploit and Install SuperSU.
- Once your Nokia X reboots, you should see an app named SuperSU in your list of applications.
If you are facing any sorts of problem in the rooting process please let us know in the comments section below.
